Across Europe, only 28% of venues and festivals regularly present or support work by disabled artists.
🔥 Let’s challenge this 🔥
I am a queer, disabled artist, passionate about pushing the boundaries of how we curate, view and access contemporary art.
In 2016 I founded Broken Grey Wires, an organisation exploring mental illness in art. I have curated a number of major exhibitions across the UK (London, Brighton, Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Nottingham) working with critically acclaimed creatives. I develop opportunities for emerging artists, encouraging ambitious experimental work.
With over eight years’ experience of writing Arts Council funding applications, I am focused on supporting artists who struggle to navigate the often-disorientating arts grant portal/applications.
I am determined to encourage neurodiverse artists who face access barriers, so that we can infiltrate art spaces, share our ambitious art, communicate our ideas and develop more accessible creative spaces, together.
